About Us
Unite with us for the children. BASAS Boston Association of School Administrators and Supervisors provides experienced educational and administrative services for schools in Boston, Massachusetts. Fifty years ago when Massachusetts first passed a collective bargaining law for public employees, BASAS was formed. BASAS is now Local 6 American Federation of School Administrators™ (AFSA).
BASAS is headed by president, Dominic Sacchetti, and currently represents Boston Public School administrators. Job titles include but are not limited to: assistant headmaster, assistant principal, director of instruction, program director, and coordinator. Our members are selected for their ability and experience to lead schools, develop a curriculum, and evaluate staff. They are the key components in the effort to improve Boston Public Schools.
